(Watertown) - Once again, the crows are being targeted in the City of Watertown.

The city council Monday night approved a new $4600 contract with Loomacres Wildlife Management to conduct hazing operations this winter. With last night's vote, the council also gave the ok for the hazing to including some shooting and killing of the crows, albeit on a limited basis.

For the past several seasons, tens of thousands of crows have roosted in parts of Washington St, leaving droppings on sidewalks and causing other nuisances as well. The hazing is expected to begin as soon as possible.
