Watertown (WTNY) -- Members of the Watertown City Council will get their first look this evening at the specific designs for the pavilion that is set to replace the aviary at the New York State Zoo at Thompson Park.

What's also known is the price tag for the project. The pavilion would cost about $435,000. The plan right now is to tear down the aviary, which is in disrepair, and replace it with the outdoor pavilion to be used for education and other purposes.

During this evening's meeting, the council will also discuss an idea to place an electric car charging station in downtown. Mayor Jeff Graham says he doubts the council will get behind the idea.
