Clarkson Soccer Coach files Lawsuit against the Village of Potsdam, Potsdam Police Dept.
Potsdam (nathan Lehman WTNY) -- A soccer coach at Clarkson University who was questioned by police in connection to the unsolved murder of a 12 year old boy is suing the Village of Potsdam and it's police force.
In the suit, Oral "Nick" Hillary alleges that police slandered him, as well as damaged his reputation. His name was leaked out to the media as someone who police were talking to in connection to the death of Garret Phillips nearly a year ago. The boy's body was found in a village apartment back on October 24. His death was later ruled to be a result of strangulation.
Hillary was never publicly named by police to be a suspect.
