Clayton man arrested, accused of trying to lure a minor into sex
Clayton (WWTI) -- Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a 43 year old Clayton man Saturday, accusing him of trying to lure a minor into sex.
According to police, the Sheriff's Office and the Jefferson County District Attorney arrested Paul Louviere after receiving a complaint from a concerned parent regarding a Craigslist posting inquiring about a "known teenage female".
During the investigation Louviere believed he was texting a 14 year old girl when in fact, it was a Sheriffs Detective. Louviere arranged to meet the teen at a location in Watertown for an alleged sexual encounter.
The investigation resulted in Louviere being charged with:
- Disseminating indecent material to a minor in the first degree
- Luring a child
- Attempted rape in the 2nd degree
- Attempted Criminal Sex Act in the 2nd degree
Louviere was arraigned in the Town of Brownville Court and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail
