Congressman Bill Owens comments on Fiscal Cliff deal
Albany (WTNY) -- North Country Congressman Bill Owens is commenting on the fiscal cliff deal passed in Washington earlier this week.
The Democrat, who will be entering his second, full term in Congress later this week, says the deal represents a promise kept to protect the middle class from increased taxes while making sure the very wealthy pay their fair share. Owens says with the middle class tax hikes averted,
Congress should now get to work work cutting federal spending and addressing the need for good farm policy.
