Conterfeit 50 Dollar Bill passed in Canton
Canton (WWTI) -- Police in Canto are warning area merchants to be cautious when accepting 50 dollar bills.
Early Monday morning Village Police received a complaint from an area merchant who had discovered a phony bill. The bill received had a serial # AD 05537119B, was a federal reserve note and is the older 1996 series bill.
Police say if another business receive similar bills they should contact the Village Police Department.
