Watertown (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- A convicted rapist is back in jail this morning, accused of a robbery and assault that occurred at a city parking lot several months ago.

Watertown City Police arrested 36 year old Richard Lennox of South Rutland St. Monday, charging him with second degree assault, second degree robbery, and second degree unlawful imprisonment. Lennox is accused of assaulting a woman back on May 25 while she got into her vehicle in the public parking lot on Stone St.

Lennox served 10 years in prison for the rape and sexual assault of a woman in Onondaga County back in 2001.

Lennox was arraigned Monday and ordered held in the Jefferson County Jail on $20,000 bail.
