Cops: Alcohol, speeding contributed to deadly motorcycle accident
Boonville (WSYR-TV) – A Lowville man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Oneida County Wednesday night.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol and speeding were both factors in the accident that killed 54-year-old Earl Greenfield.
According to Sheriff’s Investigators, Greenfield was traveling north on Route 12 in the town of Boonville when his 2006 Honda motorcycle went off the shoulder of the road around 8:55 p.m. Greenfield’s motorcycle went through a ditch and threw him from the seat when it struck an embankment.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
