An Evans Mills couple has been arrested in connection with injuries inflicted on a one-month old baby girl.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department charges 27 year old Timothy Niese with 2nd degree assault. He's in county jail with bail set at $50,000.
Amber Niese, no age listed, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and had bail set at $1,000.
Both reside at 26860 Anabel Avenue, Evans Mills.
The arrests came after the Sheriff's Department received a call from the New York State Child Abuse Hotline.
The baby was treated at University Hospital in Syracuse and was released.
