(WSYR-TV) -- The New York State Thruway Authority issued its annual “Antler Alert” Monday.
Most car crashes involving deer happen between now and December. Motorists are being reminded to use caution.
More than 2,200 deer incidents happened along the Thruway last year.
Deer are most active during evening, dusk and dawn.
And, deer travel in groups, so where there’s one, there’s probably more. If you see a deer, you should brake firmly and don’t swerve to avoid hitting it.
