EJ Noble hopes to have area hospitals lend a helping hand
Gouvereur -- Efforts continue at E. J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur to get the facility's lab up and running again.
The New York State Department of Health shut down the lab last Friday, citing major deficiencies, leading to other hospital services to be shut down as well. E. J. Noble officials spoke with representatives of the health department Monday. The hospital says it is reaching out to both Samaritan Medical Center and Canton-Potsdam Hospital to oversee lab operations.
Such an agreement could lead to the lab and thus the rest of the hospital to reopen as soon as next week.
