Gouverneur -- A meeting was held Wednesday in Albany between officials with E.J. Noble Hospital and the New York State Department of health as efforts continue to get the Gouverneur facility up and running again.
The state shut down the hospital's lab nearly two weeks ago, citing major deficiencies. That led to most of the hospital itself being shut down. E.J. Noble has sought out both Samaritan Medical Center and Canton-Potsdam Hospital for help in overseeing lab operations to fully reopen the hospital.
Reports say Samaritan was involved in yesterday's discussions.
