Watertown - For the second time this year, the North Country Children's Clinic is looking for a new executive director.

Collene Alexander, hired by the clinic during the summer, has announced her resignation. The resignation was announced through a press release issued Tuesday. No reason was given for the resignation. Alexander was first hired by the clinic earlier this year to replace Aileen Martin, who also resigned after just a few years on the job. Alexander took over the director duties on July 5.

The press release says the agency will immediately begin the search process for a new executive director. Filling in for the time being will be Janice Charles, the clinic's former director who retired back in 2009. The change in leadership comes just as the clinic has begun it's adult services program, which is being paid for through a federal program.
