Chaumont (WTNY) -- A Jefferson County teen is injured following a fiery crash Wednesday night.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department says the accident happened just before 6:30 pm on Rt. 12E near the Merchant Rd. in the Town of Lyme. Seventeen year old David Price of Chaumont was operating a vehicle when he lost control due to slippery conditions. He ended up going off the road and became airborne after hitting an embankment along a driveway. The vehicle overturned at least once and came to rest on it's side. The vehicle then caught fire and became fully engulfed. Price suffered non life threatening injuries.
Police say he was the only one inside the vehicle.
