A dispute between the Watertown City Council and the City Planning Board has led to a resignation. Randy Fipps recently sent a letter to the city, citing his displeasure with the recent actions by the City Council and Mayor Jeff Graham. Fipps was not specific in the letter, but the dispute could be due to the Council recently approving a zone change for a proposed business on Washington St., going against the recommendations made by the planning board. The proposed business would sell medial uniforms. While the council considers recommendations made by the planning board on zoning changes, they have the ultimate decision and can go in the opposite direction should they desire.
