Do you like to take photos? Do you like to visit the New York State Zoo at Thompson Park?
Now is your chance to show off those images in the zoo’s First Annual Amateur Photography Contest.
Starting on July 1st until July 31st, visitors are encouraged to snap photos of their favorite animals and scenes at the zoo and submit a photo for the contest. Interested photographers can submit their photos by visiting the Zoo’s Facebook page, and at Guest Services at the New York State Zoo.

Entries will be on display at the Zoo from August 5th to August 19th, and visitors will be able to vote for their favorite photo. On August 19th, two prizes will be awarded: Director’s Choice and People’s Choice. One winner for each category will receive a one year membership to the Zoo and a plush animal.
