Watertown (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- A former employee of the Watertown YMCA has pleaded guilty to charges of theft from that organization.

Thirty two year old Aimee Patton of Glen Park pleaded guilty in Jefferson County Court on Tuesday to a count of fourth degree grand larceny. Patton admitted to stealing over $35,000 from the Y between February and November 2009. Patton committed the acts by falsifying business records while working for the Y's School-Age Child Care program. She was fired shortly after the thefts were discovered.

Patton is due to be sentenced August 8 where she faces five years probation and will be ordered to pay full restitution
