Fort Drum (WTNY) -- Officials at Ft. Drum have identified the soldier who was found dead on post earlier this week. He is 20 year old Private First Class Michael Gorman.
The Brookline, MA native was a member of the 710 Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team. He joined the Army in July 2011 and arrived to Ft. Drum in December 2011. Groman was found dead in his barracks Tuesday morning.
The Army Criminal Investigation Command is conducting the investigation. Officials say there is no indication of foul play at this point in the investigation, but they have not completly ruled it out.
