A Fort Drum soldier has died in a hospital in Germany after a non-combat related incident in Afghanistan.
Spc. Robert K. Charlton, 22, of Malden, Missouri, died Tuesday at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, according to military officials.
His injuries were sustained in Wardack, Afghanistan on October 23rd.
He joined the Army in July, 2007 and arrived at Fort Drum in November that year.
Spc. Charlton is survived by his mother and father.
