Fowler -- Sheriff's Deputies are continuing their investigation into a fatal car/pedestrian accident that occurred Friday night in the Town of Fowler.
Police say that at approximately 10:47pm, the St. Lawrence County 911 Center received a call regarding a car accident at 4127 St. Highway 58 in the Town of Fowler.
The operator of the vehicle, 18 year old Tyler Sargent of Gouverneur, was leaving the residence when, unknown to him, 18 year old James Gore, also of Gouverneur, was laying on the ground in front of the vehicle. Sargent drove over Gore who then became trapped under the vehicle.
Gouverneur Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the scene where James Gore was pronounced dead.
Alcohol is not believed to be involved in the accident.
