Watertown— For families looking to enjoy a festive place, the New York State Zoo is holding their annual Holiday Hullabazoo. Saturday December 8th, the Holiday Hullabazoo is a great way to celebrate the holidays.
For just a small donation of a non-perishable food or personal care item, all activities are free. It is also encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy, which goes to benefit the Marine Corps. "Toys for Tots." Food goods go towards helping the CAPC of Jefferson County, a food pantry that assists needy families.
ABC50 spoke with Executive Director of the New York State Zoo, John Wright. Mr. Wright explained that, “A lot of the kids will be able to make cookie decorations, reindeer ornaments as well as Christmas theme games.” Approximately, 150 kids participate every year. Not only will there be festive holiday games to get the family in the holiday spirit, the Winter Wonder Land lights are an added perk.
The activities for the kids will be indoors, for those looking to have some fun and keep warm. However, don’t forget to bundle up and take a stroll through Winter Wonder Land, and enjoy the lights as well as our fury friends.
