Two Watertown hunting buddies are taking a shot at the restaurant business.
Gus Romeo and Todd Badalato are building Romalato's Gourmet Delicatessen at the corner of Coffeen Streets and Gaffney Drive.
Construction is underway behind Romeo's existing businesses, Nelson Dry Cleaners and Nelson's Formal Wear.
The menu will feature "sandwiches of the world," specialty pastries and "grab'n go" dinners.
"Everything's unique," Romeo said. The menu is being developed by a well-known local who cheffed at Phillip's Petroleum's resort on Stony Island near Henderson Harbor.
The deli will also feature artisan products such as olive oils.
When it opens sometime in August, the deli will have 18 seats. A 100 person capacity banquet room may come later.
