Guilty plea from a Jefferson County man accused of murder

A guilty plea from a Jefferson County man accused of murder. Twenty one year old Mikel Odle pleaded guilty Wednesday to second degree murder in connection to the fatal stabbing of 51 year old Mary Burkman at her Cape Vincent home back on May 21. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted first degree murder in connection with the stabbing of Amber Englebert at the same address as well as first degree reckless endangerment for putting his 11 month old daughter in danger while trying to flee police in a motor vehicle. Englebert is the child's mother while Burkman was the child's grandmother. He could dace the possibility of life in prison when sentenced on June 8.
