Hermon DeKalb student charged with assault after forcibly cutting another student's hair

(WTNY) - A high school student is facing charges after allegedly attacking another student at Hermon Dekalb Central School.

Sixteen year old Michelle Skidds of Hermon is alleged to have assaulted a fifteen year old female back on October 4, forcibly cutting the girl's hair, and striking her multiple times. The assault resulted in injury according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies.

Skidds was charged with counts of third degree assault and second degree reckless endangerment. She was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
