Whether an experienced runner or hiking enthusiast Jefferson Community College’s (JCC) public trails are a great place to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

The 1.5 mile trails that are located around the outskirts of JCC’s campus are groomed and open to the public everyday, with the restriction of no dogs.

In an effort to promote usage of the trails, and raise money for two local sports teams, JCC will be holding a series of fun summer trail runs/walks. At 7 p.m. on June 26th, July 17th, July 31st and August 14th runners or walkers may choose from a variety of 1.5 mile and 5 mile trails that encompass the JCC campus and Watertown Fairgrounds.

The JCC baseball team is hosting the events in an effort to raise money for the Watertown High School Cross Country Team as well as the JCC Baseball team. The cost is $3 per run or $10 for the entire series.
