Hundreds without phone service in Central and Northern NY
Cicero, NY(Riley Keenan WTNY) -- Hundreds of people in central and northern New York were without telephone service after a fiber optic cable was cut in Cicero yesterday.
While Jefferson and Lewis County phone systems were largely unaffected, numerous service problems were reported in St. Lawrence County. Samaritan Medical Center and the Jefferson County Fire and Emergency Management Office also reported issues with calls coming into and out of the facility.
