(WSYR-TV) -- Have you ever considered the value of the work your dad does for your family around the house? Insure.com calculated that value and found dads are pretty valuable.

For killing spiders and other pests, dads deserve nearly $16 per hour, according to Insure.com.

Below is a list of other household chores that add value to dad’s work around the house:
  • Handy work, like fixing things should earn dad $17.75 per hour.
  • Taking care of the cars, maybe changing the oil calculated to more than $18 per hour.
  • And plumbing, like unclogging sinks and toilets, dads deserve nearly $25 per hour.
See the full break down of dad’s work and the hourly value.

Once you calculate how many hours dads do all these things, the yearly income for dad’s household chores is valued at more than $20,000.

Sounds pretty good, but it’s only about a third of the $60,000 moms are valued at for their chores.
