Leray man arrested following police chase

Leray (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- A LeRay man is accused of leading police on a chase over the weekend.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies say 21 year old Seth Palmer was observed speeding on Rt. 11 Sunday evening, and ignored emergency lights telling him to pull over. Palmer allegedly led police on a pursuit at a high rate of speed and ignored stop signs before finally being stopped on County Rt. 18. He is charged with reckless driving, and unlawfully fleeing a police officer among other charges.

Palmer was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
