Sentencing has been postponed for a former Lisbon Central School teacher who admitted to having sex with a 15 year old male student.
The sentencing for 33 year old Christel Gravlin was scheduled for Monday in St. Lawrence County Court. However after a conference, it was postponed until May 19th.
Gravlin's attorney is gathering more information that may be pertinent to the sentencing,
NewsWatch50 was told.
In March, Gravlin pleaded guilty to rape, admitting that she had a sexual affair with the student in her Lisbon home. The plea bargain called for a jail sentence of no more than six months.
Her affair with the student surfaced in November, 2007 when Gravlin, while intoxicated, bragged about it at a Lisbon basketball game, authorities said.
