Mall shop owner sentenced for selling counterfeit items
Watertown/Massena (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- A man who owned shops in the Salmon Run Mall and the St. Lawrence Centre Mall in Massena, has been sentenced for selling counterfeit goods.
Federal authorities sentenced 38 year old Cengriz Gulbay to three years probation, community service and $12,000 in fines and restitution after being convicted of federal charges of trafficking in counterfeit goods.
Gulbay operated Cool Cellular Accessories at the Watertown mall as well as the St. Lawrence Centre Mall in Massena.
A number of items were confiscated following separate federal raids in 2010 and 2011.
