A Boonville man has been arrested after assaulting his passenger while pulled over to the side of the road.

On December 1st Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Abner Rosbrook, 30, of 1747 Thayer Hill Road, and charged him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd and Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd, both Misdemeanors.

Lewis County dispatchers received a phone call that a vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road on State Route 26. The caller continued to report that he witnessed the driver exit the vehicle, forced the passenger to get out and then began assaulting him.

The caller approached the vehicle and told the driver to stop the assault. At that time the driver got back into his car and drove away, swerving into the other lane of traffic to hit the caller.

The male passenger that was assaulted refused to press charges on Rosbrook.

After his arraignment, Rosbrook was arrested again and transported to Oneida County where he was turned over to the Violent Warrant Squad, since he was wanted in the City of Utica for other charges.
