A Syracuse man has been arrested in Watertown after sexually assaulting a female, holding her against her will and throwing bleach in her face.

At approximately 9 a.m. Friday morning, patrols were dispatched to the 100 block of Keyes Ave. in Watertown, after reports of a woman screaming while being chased by a male down the street.

Once patrols located the woman, they found her bloodied, with swollen lips and smelling like bleach. The male suspect had fled the scene, but she was able to describe her attacker.

Watertown Police officer Boyle remembered seeing the suspect running to a City Bus on Washington Street, and the suspect was located on Ball Ave. When the suspect saw the patrols he began to run between houses and was apprehended at the rear of a residence in the 100 block of Flower Ave. West.

Christopher E. Hickey, 22, of 418 Turtle Street in Syracuse, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, Assault in the 3rd and Forcible Touching.

Hickey will be arraigned in City Court this afternoon.
