More talk of "Connector Road" linking Arsenal St. to Coffeen St.
Watertown (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- Discussions were held Tuesday between city officials and the owners of the Stateway Plaza in Watertown in regards to turning the road in the plaza into an official city street.
Many motorists use the plaza as a way to get from Coffeen to Arsenal St. Gaffney Drive is part of that connection, which is an official city street. The plaza however, is private property.
The talks were described as productive. A local developer recently told the city council that he could lure a big box retailer to the neighboring City Center Plaza, but only if there is an official connector road through the plaza.
