Motorcyclist dead after accident in Carthage

Carthage -- State Police in Carthage are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on South Washington Street in the Town of Wilna, shortly after midnight last night.
 
The investigation revealed that 31 year old Jason Roch, of Croghan, was operating his  Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on South Washington Street when he lost control on a curve near Oxford Street. 

Police believe Roch went of the roadway and was ejected from his motorcycle.  The crash is believed to have occurred around 12:30am and was discovered by an off-duty Carthage Fireman who was en route to work at 6:50am. 

Mr. Roch was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
