The Lowville man responsible for the death of another Lewis County resident in a two car crash last summer has pleaded guilty to Vehicular Homicide.

Keith A. Muncy, 50, of 7249 Number 4 Road, entered the guilty plea in Jefferson County Court on Friday morning. He also pleaded guilty to charges of DWI and Aggravated DWI.

On July 19th, 2008 Muncy lost control of his car on Erie Canal Road in New Bremen, colliding head-on with a car driven by 71-year-old Clara Boliver of Croghan.

Muncy blew a .20 BAC when arrested following the crash.

Ms. Boliver died several days later from her injuries at University Hospital, Syracuse.

Muncy will be sentenced in Jefferson County Court on April 6th. He faces a prison term ranging from 4 to 12 years.

At his request, Muncy began serving his term today. He had been free on bail.

The case was moved to Jefferson County due to the recusal of the Lewis County judge.
