Update: Hunter is scheduled for arraignment in Jefferson County Court Friday morning.

Murder suspect Joshua Hunter has waived extradition proceedings and agreed to return to Jefferson County, the Associated Press reports.

Hunter was arraigned in Portsmouth, Ohio today on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. He was ordered held in the absence of a $1 million bond.

The 20 year old Fort Drum specialist declined to have an attorney at today's hearing, the AP reported.

The Ona, Florida native faces a warrant from Jefferson County charging him with two counts of 2nd degree murder for the stabbing deaths of fellow Fort Drum soldiers Waide James, 20, and Diego Valbuena, 23.

The two victims were found in their apartment near Evans Mills, dead of stab wounds, on Tuesday.

Hunter is an MP with the 3rd Brigade Combat team and returned from deployment in May, according to Fort Drum officials.

James and Valbuena were both motor transport operators with Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion.

It appears the two victims and Mr. Hunter were friends, from their postings on their MySpace.com pages.
