NYS Health Department gives EJ Noble Hospital the green light to re-open

Gouverneur -- There is finally some good news for E.J. Noble Hospital.  The New York State Health Department says that the Gouverneur hospital will reopen today, albeit on a limited basis. 

It was a month ago that the state shut down the hospital, citing major deficiencies within it's lab department.  The shut down of the lab in turn forced many hospital services to shut down as well.  Following a recent review, the state determined that there have been improvements made and that the lab is being reopened on a limited basis. 

The ER and several other services will resume as a result, although some services like surgery are still shut down for the time being.
