Jefferson Community College announced today the appointment of a new Vice President for Administration and Finance.
Daniel J. Dupee II, Dexter, will begin serving as the VP for Admisitration and Finance and College Treasurer on August 16, 2010.
As the chief fiscal officer and treasurer of JCC, Mr. Dupee will oversee all fiscal operations, business affairs, risk management, collective bargaining, and administrative services including human resources, facilities operations, and campus safety and security.
In collaboration with federal, state and local authorities Mr. Dupee will work towards ensuring JCC’s compliance and accountability, leading JCC’s long range facilities master planning and implementation.
Mr. Dupee served as the College’s first comptroller from December 2001 through March of this year. He also has managed JCC’s fiscal operations including bursar services, all accounting functions and coordination of annual audits. He successfully integrated additional processes into the financial operations department of the College and also served as the team leader of the human resources/payroll implementation team for the College conversion to Banner administrative software.
He holds both a bachelor’s degree of science in business administration and a master’s of business administration from Columbia College. He also earned a certificate of advanced studies in educational leadership from LeMoyne College.
Mr. Dupee is currently serving as executive director of business and management services at Mexico Academy and Central School.
The appointment of Mr. Dupee came after Kathleen D. Sinel, who held the position of Vice President of Administration and finance at JCC resigned. She held the position at JCC for a short six months, resigning for personal reasons. Her resignation was effective immediately.
