New York State Police begin their 2nd "Operation Hang Up" today

New York State Police will begin their second Operation Hang Up today. The operation is an enhanced enforcement campaign that targets drivers who break the law by using their hand held cell phone or other electronic devices while driving. Governor Andrew Cuomo says talking on the phone without a hands free device is illegal and puts other drivers and their passengers in danger. The operation is funded through a distracted driving enforcement grant from the national highway Traffic Safety Administration.
