A Fort Drum soldier, already facing criminal charges in the city of Watertown, has been arrested again.
City police charge 21 year old Christopher D. Simmons Jr. with criminal contempt, aggravated harassment, stalking and falsely reporting an incident.
Police say that Simmons, using the alias of Justin Van Devender, falsely reported to police that residents of 1620 Huntington Street were using illegal drugs in front of children.
The harassment and stalking charges are in connection with Simmons allegedly sending 49 test messages to Ashely M.L. Grant, threatening physical injury and death.
The criminal contempt charge is for Simmons allegedly violating a stay-away order.
In May, Simmons was charged with grand larceny for the alleged theft of jewelry from a home on Hamilton Street.
He was also accused of biting the finger of a Watertown Police officer during an April arrest in the parking lot of Wendy's restaurant on State Street. Simmons was charged with criminal mischief, assault and drug possession during that arrest.
