An Ogdensburg man is facing more time in prison after being resentenced Friday for violating probation.

Judge Kathleen M. Rogers sentenced 37-year-old Donald J. Gauthier to six years in state prison and five years on parole in St. Lawrence County Court on Friday after he was found guilty of violating probation by forcing a former girlfriend to have oral sex.

Gauthier was on probation for the 2002 stabbing of a woman when he allegedly forced his way into a former girlfriend's house, threatened and assaulted her with a large knife, and stole a quantity of Ritalin.

Gauthier faces up to 25 years in prison on a charge of 1st degree Criminal Sex Act from an indictment handed down in August.
