State police arrested a Parishville man on Tuesday for allegedly tearing up a lawn and damaging a building at Parishville-Hopkinton School early Monday morning.
Canton State Police arrested 21-year-old Michael J. Russell of Main Street, Parishville after their investigation into the incident at around 4 am Monday. According to troopers, Russell drove his 2001 Chevrolet Impala into the south-east parking lot at Parishville-Hopkinton School, and while there proceeded to do several "donuts "rutting up a grassy area. He then collided with the south-east corner of the school, which took out a four inch section of the brick wall and loosened several layers of the wall.
Russell was identified in the investigation as the result of a second motor vehicle accident investigation Monday morning, where he was arrested for DWI by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
Russell was charged with 4th degree Criminal Mischief and issued traffic tickets for Reckless Driving, Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. He will answer all charges in Parishville Court.
