Paul Trudeau promoted to Undersheriff, replaces retiring Andrew Neff

Watertown (WWTI) -- Jefferson County Sheriff John Burns has promoted Deputy Paul Trudeau to Undersheriff.

Trudeau is a 15 year veteran with the Sheriff's Office and a 20 year Veteran of the Military.

Trudeau's career began with the Sheriff's Department in '98, he was assigned to the D.A.R.E. position in 2002. In 2003 he was awarded the American Legion Post 61 Law and Order Night Award for his role in the cave rescue in the Town of Hounsfield. In 2004 he was selected for the newly formed K-9 Unit, along with his K-9 partner Bullet.

Trudeau replaces retiring Undersheriff Andrew Neff. Neff's last day with the Sheriff's Office is today. Trudeau will start his new position as Undersheriff on Monday.
