Another local organization is asking for the community to vote for a special project that would create a Children’s and Teen area.

The Harrisville Free Library was recently notified that they were chosen by the Pepsi Refresh Project as a contestant.

“The project we are proposing to do is a total remodel of the upstairs for our Children's and Teen's area and also room for programming.  Currently this is just empty space and we want to make it usable,” said Nicole Spencer, Library Director at Harrisville Free Library.

Voting for this project is as simple as providing an email address and clicking ‘vote’ for the ‘Create Teen and Childrens space at the library’ under Harrisville Free Library by visiting http://www.refresheverything.com/harrisvillefreelibrary.

Votes can also be submitted by texting 106840 to 73774, or new this round a special aspect has been added named Power Vote. Power Vote involves a code found on specility marked Pepsi products. When that code is entered that will count for 100 votes.

The top 15 ranked projects will receive funding for their special project.
