This week on MyABC50.com’s Pet Connection, we are featuring Jude the Collie mix, Guiness the Anatolian Shepherd, and two cats, Tabitha and Jamie. Check out the slideshow for pictures and more info on these animals currently up for adoption at the Jefferson County SPCA.
All of the dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on their vaccinations. They come with a starter bag of food and a free vet exam within the first 15 days after adoption. For more information on adoption rates, hours, contact info and more, visit www.jeffersonspca.petfinder.com or call 315-782-3260.
Jude is a 3-year-old, male Collie mix. He is black with some tan and white, and is medium in size- around 40 lbs. Jude was found on as a stray on Fort Drum, and has a sweet temperament, but has had little training. He is not yet house-broken, and will need a loving family to take the time and energy to train him. Jude does well with other animals, and with children.
Guiness is a 3-year-old, male Anatolian Shepherd who came to the shelter on April 18th. He is large in size – over 150 lbs, and has a cream colored, thick coat, and a black mask. Guiness has a high level of energy, but is well trained. He is house-broken, and can walk on a leash, but will do best in a home or on a farm where he has some room to roam. Guiness does well with children and other pets, and is intelligent and loyal. He would make a wonderful guard dog.
Tabitha is a 6-month-old domestic, short-haired, female cat. She is muted calico, with a soft coat, and very pretty. Tabitha is small, but will still grow some. She was found on Fort Drum as a stray, and came to the shelter on April 10th. Tabitha is curious, and loves to explore and play. She does well with other animals, and will make a great pet for any loving family.
Jamie is a 9-month-old, domestic, short-haired, male cat. He is mostly black with some white markings, and is medium in size. Jamie also came to the shelter on April 10th after being found as a stray. Jamie is friendly, and mild-mannered, and does well with other animals and children.
