Police continue investigation into weekend crash that killed an Adams teen
Ellisburg (Nathan Lehman WTNY) -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's office is continuing its investigation into a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Town of Ellisburg around 8:40 p.m. Saturday night that killed one and left another in critical condition.
Authorities say a Corvette driven by 19 year old Gaige Knapp of Watertown was travelling on State Route 289 when it exited the left side of the road and hit an embankment causing it to flip several times, where it landed on its roof.
Seventeen year old passenger, Trevor Robinson of Adams, died at the scene. Knapp was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Speed is believed to be the main factor in the crash.
