A 29 year old Port Leyden man has been arrested for sexually abusing a female child.
Daniel S. Rounds was charged with Criminal Sex Act 1st Degree (B Felony), Sex Abuse 1st Degree (D Felony) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor). The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred at a residence on Church Street, in Port Leyden, during the month of September in 2008. Investigation revealed that Rounds subjected a female under the age of 11 to sexual contact which included oral sexual conduct.
Rounds was arraigned in the Village of Lowville Court and was subsequently remanded to the Lewis County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
