Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse University men’s basketball assistant coach Mike Hopkins recently interviewed for the head coach position at the University of Southern California, according to a
post on the Los Angeles Times website.
For several years, Hopkins has been considered the heir apparent for the SU head coach position when Hall of Famer Jim Boeheim retires.
A California native and former Orange player, Hopkins is in his 15th year on the SU staff.
He has been linked to multiple coaching vacancies in recent years, including St. Bonaventure and Charlotte.
