Gouverneur Village police arrested a Richville man New Year’s Day after a disturbance at a restaurant in the Village.

Officers arrested 24-year-old Corey L. Bush on charges of Disorderly Conduct (2 counts), 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana following the incident in the parking lot of the Palms Restaurant. Bush was allegedly standing in the lot screaming obscenities.

Bush was found with a small amount of marijuana and a straw containing drug residue that officers did not identify beyond saying it was a “Schedule II” drug.

Bush was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail in lieu of $500 bail.
