Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Rosamond Gifford Zoo announced on Friday morning that it has welcomed its fourth patas monkey baby.
This is the fourth such monkey born at the zoo in two years.
The baby was born on Nov. 30. Zoo officials will wait until the baby’s gender is determined to give it a name.
The zoo has set up
a web cam for those who want to watch the newest monkey live.
The zoo will choose one of three names from each gender. If the baby is a boy, they will name him either Harry Patas, Jabari, or Jabu. If it is a girl, they will name her Cheche, Kenya, or Zarina.
